Bordeaux: Dinner with the Arbos

Dinner at Vignobles Arbo

Michel’s friend Margaux Arbo arranged a lovely evening for us when we arrived on the right bank of Bordeaux. Margaux and her parents, Bernadette and Joseph, graciously hosted us for a tasting and dinner in their home.

First was a wine tasting on their back porch (complete with a game of fetch with the family's dog) and then a wonderful home cooked dinner (complements of Bernadette) with the family.

At the end of the dinner Joseph surprised us with not one but two bottles of his perfectly aged grand Vin: Chateau Puyanche 1983! We drank a bottle that night with the family and took a bottle with us. We drank it later in our Europe trip with family in Barcelona.

See the last eight entries of Flight 4 of my tasting notes of all the wines we shared that night! We tried wine from their two brands: Chateau Puyanche and Chateau Godard Bellevue.
