Sommelier Guild of Atlanta: Vin Fraiche Event

This Sommelier Guild of Atlanta event featured Vin Fraiche Wines at Antica Posta in Buckhead (Atlanta, GA). Charles Miller, Brand Manager of Vin Fraiche Wine Group regaled us with stories and poured profound wines from their lineup. For comparison fun, I also brought four Vin Fraiche wines - all from the 2019 vintage - from my cellar.

WOTN for me was the '19 La Colline and the pairing of the night was the La Caccia flight w/ wild boar

Our event was in the private room (behind the kitchen!) and the food and wine pairing went like this:

Course 1
Antica’s Grilled Octopus: "The Best Octopus recipe in the World"
2021 SOM Wines Chardonnay Larry Stone Vineyard (Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon)

Course 2
Caprese Salad—Italian buffalo milk mozzarella, flown from Italy, vine ripe tomatoes, arugula, evoo dressing
2022 Component Wine 100% Semillon (138-year-old vines from Monte Rosso Vineyard)
