The Inn at Little Washington - Our 3rd Michelin 3 Star
A three-Michelin star experience on our wedding Anniversary!
On our recent trip to Napa and Sonoma, we were so fortunate to experience two Michelin 3 star restaurants (Quince and Single Thread). We decided to visit Washington DC for our Anniversary (Dio had never been).
Given our love for food and wine, we quickly learned there was another Michelin 3 Star restaurant within driving distance - The Inn at Little Washington.
We were fortunate enough to snag a reservation, so on a cold Sunday night, we made the rather long and dark drive to the restaurant. And we are so glad we did! The restaurant/inn was charming, the food, wine pairing and servers were amazing and we realized just how different these three-Michelin star experiences are from each other. This was a cozy, warm environment and the staff made us feel right at home.
My WOTN of the wine pairing was the 2019 Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Schlossberg Riesling Spätlese.
Here is my CellarTracker tasting note for the wine:
93 pts: Fantastic! Perfect amount of sweetness, very balanced, refreshing. Paired with "A Savory Black Pepper Cheesecake with Roasted Baby Beets, Perfumed with Orange Zest." WOTN and best pairing of the evening by far at The Inn at Little Washington - surprising me because I'm definitely more into reds and am not at all familiar with German wines.
