Quince - Our Second Michelin 3 Star Experience

A delicious wine pairing with our meal at Quince, a fabulous restaurant in San Francisco.

After our trip to Napa, we headed back to San Francisco. We had a reservation at Quince. The wine pairing that evening was a step above Single Thread's (and it was less expensive lol). Having experienced two three star restaurants so close together, I’d say that compared to Quince, Single Thread’s pairings were crowd pleasers but felt too safe in my opinion. The Quince pairings were just a bit more daring The WOTN at Quince (and probably the best pairing I've ever had at a restaurant) was the '85 Prunotto Barbaresco with Agnolottini Verdi made with smoked squab and black truffle. Just perfect!
